makes things
Hi! I'm Amy, an engineer by day, crafter by night, and an all-around art enthusiast. While art has always been my favorite subject in school, my creative journey did not take off until after college, where I started painting animal portraits for family and friends. What started as a small favor quickly turned into a business of its own, sparking the dream of one day having my own art studio. I have worked with different medias in the past - pencil, acrylic and even digital works.
In 2024, I stumbled upon pottery and fell head over heels. I took a class and was instantly hooked! I didn’t waste any time—soon, I was buying pounds of clay, a pottery wheel, and a kiln. I took some time off work for maternity leave, then quickly immersed myself in creative works whenever I had a spare second. My dream of having the studio finally came true when my husband and I transformed a spare room in our house into my very own creative haven—a place where I could unwind after work and on weekends, making things that bring joy.
I love working with my hands—there’s something incredibly grounding about it. Whether it's painting, pottery, or other crafts, I need to feel the materials to connect with them. Today, I specialize in hand-built pottery, crafting functional, minimalist pieces that are as beautiful as they are useful. Pottery has become my ultimate form of relaxation and a way to express my love for simple, elegant design. Every piece I create is a reflection of my passion for both art and functionality, and I can’t wait to share it with everyone.
